"Heaven on a hill" by Songsender - Lincoln, NE (As published in TripAdvisor.com)

I recently traveled to Costa Rica with my wife and 2 other couples. Our connection to Pacifico Colonial came from one of the couple meeting the property managers on a cruise. They knew we would love Costa Rica and their 10-condo facility. They were RIGHT RIGHT RIGHT.

The kindness of the people at Pacifico Colonial were wonderfully friendly and helpful. They helped arrange activity tours for us - one of which was a top-5 experience in my life. (more later)

The building has 10 condos, one 3-bedroom and one 2-bedroom per floor - so you very rarely see anyone else. The 3-bedroom layout was perfect for our group of 6 with each bedroom having a private bath. The decor of the condo edged towards luxury - but it was still very comfortable. We felt very much at home.

The building it situated on top of a hill with the main road right out front - but don't let this worry you. I NEVER heard any traffic on the road from our condo or balcony. The benefit of this layout is that there is a bus stop right out front and for $0.45 you can catch a ride to the main beach (about a 5-minute ride).

We had wonderful experiences doing zip-line tours and white-water river rafting. Both are totally worth the time spent. The zip-lines felt very safe - and gave us amazing views. The river rafting was a surprise for us. We went during the dry season - so as the water levels on the river were lower the tour group suggested that some of us go in single blow-up rafts that look a lot like a kayak. The idea was rather scary at first - but I must say that I am SO glad we chose to do the "Duckies" (as they call them). The experience was a top-5 in my life. Calm at times and adrenaline rush at others. I would do the river rafting again and again if I could.

Food was great - weather was great - beach time was great!

Have Melissa set you up with her private chef Renzo and have him come in and cook you a meal. The entire experience was so good we repeated it a 2nd time. Renzo was a wonderful person - and his food was extraordinary!

All in all - Costa Rica was FABULOUS!

"The greatest vacation ever" by CostaRicanBound - Birmingham, Alabama (As published in TripAdvisor.com)

To say that we had the most incredible vacation is an understatement. It all started with a call to Christine on a Saturday night. Somewhat on the fly we booked our stay at Pacifico Colonial for Spring Break 2011. Little did we know that Christine would help us to make our stay so exciting. Cristine booked all of our excursions. We each had our favorite. My wife loved Jet Skiing in the ocean. Her favorite part was seeing a school of dolphins playing in the water less than 100 yards from us. My daughter (17) loved the zip lining. Her favorite part was the good looking guide. My son (16) and I loved the fishing. His favortite part was catching a bigger Mahi than I did. My favorite part was seeing the majestic sailfish dance across the water - any fisherman's dream! Wait! I almost forgot. Each of absolutely loved having a private chef. Our meal was delicious and at the last minute Chef Anna added our fresh Mahi to the menu.

The entire staff at Pacifico Colonial helped us make unforgetable memories! We cannot wait to go back!

“The perfect spot to stay in Manual Antonio” by Randalljd - Lawton, Michigan (As published in TripAdvisor.com)

Pacifico Colonial was an excellent place to stay. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the accomodations were spacious, beautifully decorated, and centrally located. The view was amazing.

We traveled with two young children and my parents and the layout fit our needs perfectly. There was enough space to have your own independence while still being together. And watching birds and monkeys every morning while eating breakfast on the veranda was fantastic.

It is withing walking distance to a grocery store that stocks many American brands. It is also a short drive to the beach.

I've stayed at other houses/apartments and none have been so well stocked with incidentals/kitchen items as this was.

The condos on the 2nd floor were at the treetops - perfect for bird, monkey and iguana watching!

“I want to come back...NOW!” by jdlevin82 - New York City, New York (As published in TripAdvisor.com)

We traveled to Pacifico Colonial in March with a group of 9 people, and absolutely loved everything about it!! Not only did Christine and Melissa help us plan everything weeks before we arrived, but they were amazing throughout our stay. They truly made the entire experience easy, and ensured that we got the most out of our vacation to Costa Rica.

If the staff was the highlight of Pacifico Colonial, then the accommodations were a close second. We stayed in Penthouse South, and couldn't ask for anything more. After a slight issue with the A/C on the first night, we couldn't have asked for anything better from there after. The view, the luxurious amenities...this place had it all!

The location was great as well. Even if the beach was a quick cab ride away, the restaurants were all within walking distance of the condo.

If you are traveling to Manuel Antonio, staying here is a must!!!

“Phenomenal view and service at Pacifico Colonial!” by begg - st. louis, missouri (As published in TripAdvisor.com)

We just returned from Costa Rica and spent four nights at the Pacifico Colonial 1-South. It is an absolutely beautiful 3-bedroom condo with a view of the jungle and ocean below. We were entertained every morning by monkeys in the trees right outside our balcony. Eilyn and Christine had fantastic recommendations for restaurants and outings and kindly made all of our arrangements for us. We met a number of the other guests during our stay, and everyone had wonderful things to say about Pacifico Colonial and its staff. I would not hesitate to highly recommend these accommodations to anyone.

“Delightful Accommodations in Manuel Antonio?” by SteveT100 - Buffalo, New York (As published in TripAdvisor.com)

This is our second visit to Pacifico Colonial. Our first was for two nights in November of 2010. We liked it so much that we returned this month (March 2011) for a 7-day stay with friends. We were in a three bedroom unit that was reasonably priced when split across three couples. The rooms were immaculate, the amenities great, and the views spectacular. Plan on spending some time on your balcony - you will likely see iguanas in the trees, monkeys (capuchin and mono titi), sloths (with a baby!), birds of all sorts, and beautiful vistas of the ocean.( Also arrange your day to be on your balcony at sunset.)

All the other reviews here describe the other positive features of the Pacifico, so no need to repeat them here. The best feature of the Pacifico is the extraordinarily helpful concierge service by Melissa and her staff. We worked with Christine prior to our visit, and she arranged airport transportation, all sorts of tours, reservations, and activities for us with extremely useful advice on what was worth doing and what might be skipped. I simply cannot say enough about how helpful the staff at the Pacifico was throughout our stay.
